Making ANZAC biscuits recount

Making Anzac biscuits recount By Sky

“Yes!” I can’t wait to make Anzac biscuits I said to my whole class. I bet they are going to be delicious. When I first heard about it  I was jumping around and yelling everywhere I went. The first thing that Miss Paton did was put out the tables and then she put on the ingredients. When school started we all made Anzac biscuits. We had to measure 100 grams of butter. 100 grams. But the butter was divided into 50 gram segments. Then we used our maths so we went 50 and 50 is 100. Then we cuted about two 50s, then we had 100 grams. Mele finished off cutting the butter but Miss Paton started her off. Then Miss Paton sliced a little bit of the butter and then Miss Paton asked Alex to grease the trays. Then Shailah added some golden syrup to the butter in the pot. Miss Paton took the pot to the hall kitchen to melt the butter and golden syrup over a low heat on the stove. When Miss Paton got back from the hall kitchen all of the kids started to run to the table and then we all got ready to do the next thing. We had to measure ½ a cup of white flour into the big red bowl. Then we did the same with the white sugar. We added in the rolled oats about ¾ of a cup. After that we measured the coconut and put it into the big red bowl. After that we put in ½ a teaspoon of baking soda in with the boiling water. Then Miss Paton told us to stir the ingredients together. Aung Naing started first then it went around. After that Miss Paton stirred it a bit more. Then she got me, Aiden, Jacob and Hajera, to roll the dough into balls. Miss Paton told Juliet and Nyjah to flatten the dough down using a fork. They all had to be 4 cm apart when they were all flattened down. Then Miss Paton took a look at them but she saw that there were not  enough biscuits for everyone. So she asked us to make another batch of biscuits so we made another batch. After that there were enough biscuits for everyone. After they were all made Miss Paton, Aung Naing, Taylor took the trays of biscuits to the oven.

Marsha was there in the hall kitchen to help Miss Paton. Marsha had to use an oven glove to take the trays of biscuits out of the oven.  Liam, Taylor and Aung Naing had to use the fish slice to lift them off the tray and put them on the plates. We had the biscuits before lunch. Once I first took a bite of the Anzac biscuit I was about to blow up because they were so crispy and soft. They had a wonderful flavour. They were also really crunchy & munchy too.
