WW1 Questions

Today we got to do a challenge about WW1 for Inquiry. I created this DLO with Magenta. We Wrote two questions and then gave our answers with proof as well. The reason why we choose these questions is because we thought these questions were very interesting. What I really like about doing this challenge is how we got to learn more about WW1 and learn the story behind WW1.

Armistice Day - 11.11.1918

Tomorrow the whole of Panmure Bridge School will attending a commemoration to remember those that lost there lives for us to be free without no conflict. 

Skeletal system

Today for inquiry we played two games on one site. We had to label the parts of a skeleton and put the right bones on the right area of the body. Here is the link to the game. 

Professor Stephen Hawking

Sadly Professor Stephen Hawking passed away last week. We have created this DLO to show who he was and why he was famous. In this task we focused on using our own words and attributing images.

Coalition

Today our focus was on the Coalition. The thing that I found easy about this task today was having to find a site we can trust  to use the images of the right Parliament seats. The thing that I found easy about this task was the  information because our focus this week and last week was about Coalition, election and Voting so we knew what to do and what to write without having to know that it was wrong because we knew what we had to write.   

Why it's great to be me

This week I was working on my brain storm on why it's cool to be me. The thing that I found hard about this DLO is that I had to spell them properly. The thing that I found easy was that I had the words ready to add to the brain storm.

Why its important to speck up againt a bully

Today Myself, Hajera, Nickaela, Zahra and Jorja where working on our movie by specking up towards a bully. The thing that we found hard about doing our movie is that we kept forgetting our lines. The thing that we found easy about the movie was that we had the confident's to make the movie and get it finish with out mucking it up when we needed to get it finish. 

Why is it so important to keep oral story telling alive?

Shakaia and I have been working on why oral story telling is so important. We both found it challenging making a twenty five word summary. We got around our mistake by making a twenty seven word summary instead. We learnt that Maori story telling doesn't have to be read by a Maori it can be read out from anyone around the world.

Today I was working on my sketch note with Shakaia. The thing that I found hard was finding a fact. The thing that I found easy was giving information on milk cartons being recycled.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle thinking

Today I was working on my reduce, reuse, recycle DLO. The thing that I found hard was finding facts and information on this DLO. The thing that I found easy was finding the images and attributing them. We had to write our opinions about how New Zealand throws away 3.6 million tonnes of rubbish every year. My question to you is how does this make you feel and what have we done to our country?

Current Events

Today I was working on why China planned to ban the buying and  selling of ivory. Elephants and rhino are really good animals and if China doesn't stop the selling of ivory elephants and rhinos will be extinct. I also looked at two points of view. I think they should stop killing elephants and rhinos and they can do this by banning the selling and buying of ivory.

Conserving Water

Today I was working on my conserving water DLO. The thing that I found hard in finding facts on conserving water. The thing that I found easy was finding pictures and some facts.

NZ Estuary Food Web

Today I was working on my NZ Estuary Food web. This is about how a bigger animal eats a smaller animal well mainly it is about big animals eating small animals that are not strong enough to save themselves. First Miss Kirkpatrick gave us some photos and find out what ate what. The thing that I found hard to do was what a flounder ate but I found it out because sea grass is at the bottom of the ocean where flounders stay which is on the ground. The thing that I found easy was what the god wits ate which were mud worms.

Heinkel he 178

As you can see I have been working on a heinkel he 178 which is also known as a jet that was used in world war 2. I had to draw my plane and layer parts of it like the wing and what they were made from which is metal. The thing I found hard was explaining what it is made of. The thing that I found easy was drawing my plane

Rockets

Today I was working on my rocket presentation. The thing that I found hard was using different sites. The thing that I found easy was finding images and doing the Questions.

Flight

Today I was working on my flight work and it is about me finding out these questions. The thing that I found hard was finding out the answer but having to write it in my own words. The thing that I found easy was finding Images and doing a kind of machine like I chose a plane and this is mostly about force of flight.
